Weld County Lifestyle

Weld County offers many cultural, recreation and housing choices. There are also excellent schools, multiple college options and "state-of-the-art" health care facilities. Retail centers, grocery stores and other services are all at a convenient distance. For outdoor recreation there are eight golf courses, a multitude of parks, miles of paved bike/pedestrian paths and other family oriented activities such as the Weld County Fair.

In addition to what is offered right in Weld County itself, there are many regional amenities as well. Weld County sits just north of the Denver Metropolitan area. This means that all the conveniences of the largest metropolitan area of the Rocky Mountain West are within a short drive. This includes cultural events such as museums, theatrical venues and concerts, as well as family entertainment such as the Denver Zoo and Elitch Gardens Amusement Park. It also includes major league sports venues such as the Denver Broncos football, the Colorado Avalanche hockey, the Colorado Rockies baseball, the Denver Nuggets basketball, the Colorado Rapids for soccer and the Denver Outlaws for Lacrosse.

Weld County is Colorado after all. This means close access to multiple world class ski areas, nearby camping, fishing, hunting, snow sports, hiking, horseback riding and mountain "get-aways". Rocky Mountain National Park is less than two hours from Greeley. Also nearby are the Indian Peak Wilderness Area and the Colorado State Park which are beautiful places for hiking, fishing, picnicking and camping.
