About Upstate Colorado Economic Development
Upstate Colorado Economic Development is a public/private non-profit economic development corporation that provides services to all of Weld County. Our work focuses on supporting primary employers, those that bring equity into the local economy by supporting the retail, service and professional sectors. Our goal is to help these employers bring new wealth into the local economy. Upstate Colorado provides service to existing and expanding primary employers, and to those who are considering a Weld County location for their business.
Upstate Colorado was formed as a partnership between government, business and education throughout Weld County. We are governed by a Board of Directors whose members reflect this three way partnership. Upstate Colorado receives financial support from each of the partner sectors and from board members who are financial investors in the organization which contribute to its operating funds.
Our Services:
Our organization works confidentially with employers based on their specific needs. Upstate Colorado can provide or facilitate a variety of services including:
- Building and land search

Our Clients:
Upstate Colorado's efforts are focused on the support of primary sector employers. These are employers who derive the majority of their revenues from the sale of products or services outside the local community. These revenues represent "new" money to the community and are what support the retail, service and professional sectors of the local economy.
Upstate Colorado provides service for:
- primary sector employers that are currently located in our community. We provide access to the resources they need to become more competitive, to aid in expanding their revenues and to create more jobs within the local economy
- prospective employers who may be interested in expanding or moving their operations into Weld County
- new primary sector employers needing significant support to ensure a strong start and sustained success
